Good source of information/links on the internet.
Encyclopędia Britannica Online
Good site for information but you have to subscribe. You can use it for 30 days free initially whilst you decide if it is what you want!
Internet Movie Database
Everything you ever wanted to know about movies. Look up the film  and find out all about it - synopsis / cast / crew / trivia etc. Also info about actors / directors etc.
Internet Public Library
Pretty much what it says on the label. Look up the subjects you want on the index or search for it. It also has an option called GROK which displays results visually.
A complete interactive atlas on the Web!! Searches enable you to see local and world maps even down to the street you live in. An excellent resource.
The Argus Clearinghouse
The Argus Clearinghouse provides a central access point for value-added topical guides which identify, describe, and evaluate Internet-based information resources.
This online encyclopaedia is created by its users, who can add information to its pages. Given that lots of the information is written by amateurs, it is a surprisingly good source of information. Available in several languages.
